Roundtable discussion on the potential for Sri Lanka's economic transformation
The objective of this Roundtable discussion was to develop a dialogue on the legal, regulatory, and incentive structures required to attract foreign direct investment to Sri Lanka.The specific targets were the projects that were progressing such as the Colombo Port City, Hambantota Portand proposed industrial zones etc. which would generate interest of secondary foreign investors. The discussion also entailed promotion of business sectors ideally suited for Sri Lanka and the region,for the country to realize its national development objectives and people’s aspiration for a prosperous and technologically advanced society.
